Berceto
The B&B is located in Val Taro, at the turn of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, just 50 km from the city of Parma, an hour and a half from Bologna and 2.15 hours from Florence. The B & B is located in a strategic position to reach in less than an hour the beaches of Versilia and that of the beautiful Cinque Terre also easily reached by train from the first station close to us (Berceto).
The Val Taro is a land rich in history and culture, landscape and gastronomic tinerari (Road of Wine and Food) of parks and forest trails, and charming with its hamlets of medieval origin (including Berceto with its Via Francigena , an ancient Roman road used by pilgrims on their way from England to go to Rome to visit the tomb of St. Peter).
Then, driving along the highway Cisa is a moment to be in Parma, a city renowned in the world for its cuisine and its typical products such as prosciutto and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The city is also the venue for important events and annual events like Cibus, Mercante in Fiera, the Verdi Festival, which attract tourists from every part of Italy.
In short, this strip of land has much to offer and nothing to envy to other Italian regions. If you love nature, tranquility, the rolling hills and you are fond of walking or eno-gastronomic itineraries, excursions, come here and you will discover a land full of surprises and pleasures.
How to reach us:
Directions by car: from Parma take Via La Spezia and stay on the main road SS308. You will pass through the villages of Collecchio, Fornovo, Solignano and Valmozzola (Stazione). From Valmozzola, follow signs for Borgo Val di Taro, at the second crossroads, turn right and keep going for about 300 metres, then turn right again for “Case Nicola”.
By Highway: take the A15/E31 towards La Spezia. After about 38 km, exit at Borgotaro the junction with the SS 308. Once out of the exit, turn left and keep the road to Borgotaro for about 2.5 km. At the second intersection turn right to Nicola Case-Filagni following the directions of the B&B.
